How to repot your Houseplants

How to repot your Houseplants

If your plants are anything like mine at home they are growing like crazy! Houseplants are now in full active growth mode and now is the time to check they still have plenty of room to grow & flourish.

How do you tell if your plant needs more room?

A couple of simple easy ways to tell if it's time for a house move, check the bottom of your nursery pot, if you can actively see the roots pushing their way out of the pot, then it's time to move!

Or you can simply lift your plant out of it's pot to check the root system. If there is a healthy root mass dominating at least half of the soil then it's time to move on.

When should I repot my plants?

Ideally houseplants should be repotted in spring or late winter, or when they are actively growing.  Avoid re-potting when your plants are dormant in autumn and early winter.

It is super easy to repot your plants, and we have created an easy step by step guide to help you below.

Happy potting plant fans!
