Last week we told you that the doors to our bricks and mortar store are open again, jam-packed full to the brim with Green & Wild plants and with our full Feather & Nest Christmas range starting to creep in, if you haven’t been to see us IRL (that’s ‘in real life’) then trust us, there has never been a better time.
So hands up who wants a sneak peek inside?
Located in the heart of newly developed Didcot, Feather & Nest sits, snuggled between Costa Coffee and JoJo Maman Bébé and is your go to for a curated, independent shopping experience like never before. The store also houses our thriving Green & Wild range, which is packed with a huge selection of greenery for plant lovers (and plant killers, but more on that next week.)
In case you missed our blog post with brand founder, Angela last week, she told us where the name came from, ‘Feather and Nest came about, because I wanted something to reflect what it meant to make a house a home, ‘feathering your nest’ filling it with things that you love, that make you happy and add your personality to your home’ and there are lots of goodies in the store, perfect for helping you do this.
As you walk in the door of the Didcot store, you’ll quickly notice we have a bit of a thing for plants – in fact, they’re everywhere across the store, we think it makes the place feel like home and as you look around, you’ll see we’ve carefully placed lots of accessories and gifts in ranges; one of our favourites are our pins from ‘All the Ways to Say’. Designed in France by illustrator Claire Leina there’s something for everyone, including this pretty terrazzo backed ‘Pink Leaves Enamel Pin Badge’.
Speaking of pins, did you know we also specially design some of the ranges in store ourselves? Inspired by art and interior trends, one of our most popular ranges is our ‘Nordic wood’ collection, which of course features an adorable ‘Bear enamel pin’, but also a range of luscious lip balms in flavours that sound good enough to eat. They’re designed and made in the UK and tested on people, not animals.
Our regular customers will know we’re all about the cards – the funnier the better and we have one hard and fast rule for the gifting wall; it has to make people laugh. There’s nothing the team in store love more than hearing people giggle over our range of cheeky cards. Picking just one card from the range is like trying to choose a favourite child, but this ‘Excited by your face’ card, really does make us titter. And if you’re looking for something to compliment your card, we have a range of wrap too – we love print and colour, which will be clear as soon as you start looking.
Gifting is a big part of what we do here at Feather & Nest and as nice as it is to buy something for someone else, we fully believe you need to treat yourself – self care is a must, especially during these crazy times. Whether it’s one of our delicious chocolate bars from ‘Coco’ (the Isle of Skye Sea Salt Milk flavour is a firm favourite) or a motivational, yet very essential hand wash from ‘The Gift label’, you’ll find yourself implementing the ‘one for you, one for me rule’ when you join us in store.
And last but no means least is the ‘nesting’ part of Feather & Nest, our comfy, cosy accessories designed to add a touch of design to your home. Right now we're loving the colour pops that this 'Velvet Lumbar Cushion' will bring to any sofa and priced at just £20, you can afford to layer up and really get comfy.
So there you have it, we hope you’ve enjoyed a sneaky peak into the store and as we say, there has never been a better time to head in and say ‘hi’ if you’re local. We’ve updated our opening times and if you’re not familiar with our location, you can find everything you need to know here.
Not local, but desperate to shop all of the treats we’ve shared in this blog post? Don’t worry, the Feather & Nest website is open 24/7 with new goodies being added every week.
